EXPLORE KRAKOW → PARKS & GARDENS Krakow offers tourists a lot of nature, especially a very characteristic and the biggest meadow in the city center called “Błonia”. For citizens it is a very remarkable place after the Pope John Paul II used to hold here the masses during his pilgrimages to Poland. Favorite place for the local people and also for the foreigners are the Wistula Boulevards – a special walking area offerring beautiful views of the Wawel Castle. Do not miss a n opportunity to visit an attractive Park Jordana with plenty of facilities for children, special lanes for bicycles and roller skaters. Quite often small events are organized there. Another beautiful spot is Lasek Wolski – it’s a park resembling a forest with both walking and bicycle facilities. All parks are located in the western part of the city.
The botanic garden of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow is also worth your visit. Founded in 1973 today it is included in the list of monuments of Krakow and considered as the oldest one in Poland.
