- All streets of the old city center are pedestrian streets – no traffic is allowed. Here local people and tourists spend their leisure time.
- Nice walking routes can be found in Wistula Boulevards, in particular, the lovely route from the Wawel Castle to Norbertanki Convent.
- Another beautiful spot is Lasek Wolski – a forest park with nice walking paths.
- The Jewish District (Kazimierz) offers small walking streets with many cafes and restaurants to rest after a long walking day or intensive sightseeing.
- The Kościuszko Mound, which was heaped up by local people in 1820-1823 in memory of Tadeusz Kościuszko, is not only the historical place, but also the walking hill with stunning views of the whole city.
